What we’re looking for:

Big Red Dog Marketing is hiring for a Junior Designer position. In this role, you will have an opportunity to flourish with a full-service digital marketing agency specializing in branding, website design and development, SEO, Paid Search (SEM), Email Marketing, Marketing Automation, and Social Media. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a keen eye for detail and be able to participate in the design process from conception to completion. While creating imaginative designs is important, you will also need to be open to learning more about the creative process and help to promote the company’s vision. Your contribution will add value to the team and end design product, while also directly impacting our customer’s satisfaction.

This is a hybrid remote position. The preferred candidate would live in Raleigh, NC or surrounding areas, however, we are open to applicants within the state of NC that would be willing to travel to meet with the team at our co-working space.

What you will be doing:

Work and communicate directly with the Design Manager to better understand the design concept while also using the best methods, applications, software and techniques to create/edit high-end graphics.

Participate in design discussions and give feedback to plan, strategize and implement current design trends and industry technologies. 

Desire to innovate and identify new strategies to stay ahead of the curve while also implementing relevant logos, banners, and interfaces that meet the client’s set criteria.

Understand project requirements and ideas while using graphic techniques to create drafts and final pieces of work.

Leverage your excellent software skills (Photoshop® and Illustrator®) to collaborate with the Design Manager. 

Leverage your capability to work well independently as well as collaborate on larger project teams.

Marketing is not a solo event. We leverage the talents of everyone on the team to solve problems for our clients

By nature, all dogs are problem solvers. If you don’t know something but a client needs it, you will do everything you can to quickly figure it out and bring the rest of the team in to help if needed

What you need to have:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience with design projects and a quality portfolio
• Marketing Agency or freelancing with multiple client experience preferred 
• Expert with design software and editing tools 
• Strong command over design techniques and visual elements
• Excellent judgment of color, design layout and digital specifications 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines 
• Must have strong layout skills, organizational abilities and excellent editing experience.
• Experience with display ads, creating social graphics and website/logo design is strongly preferred to ensure all success criteria are met.
• Have an understanding and ability to work with a variety of design programs including Premier Pro®, XD®, InDesign® and After Effects®.
