Search Engine Marketing – PPC Specialist

Position Summary

Big Red Dog Marketing is hiring for a Search Marketing – PPC Specialist. In this role, you will work with our Head of Account Strategy and our Head of Agency Operations to execute impactful and desired-outcome PPC campaigns for clients. You will serve as the day-to-day point person for PPC questions and handle the day-to-day tactical analysis and account-level changes. You should be comfortable managing & optimizing campaigns as well as analyzing & delivering data-rich reports using Google Data Studio.

Big Red Dog Marketing leverages Google Ads Editor, Google Ads interface, Google Sheets, and Google Data Studio to manage our clients’ campaigns.

This is a remote contract position. Preference given residence in Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas.

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Research, create, and manage PPC campaigns
  • Define keyword targets using various tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner)
  • Effectively advise on monthly campaign spend levels with the client’s budget and goals in mind
  • Effectively optimize and manage paid campaigns within the allotted monthly management hours
  • Successfully execute planned campaigns; creating and adjusting on a daily basis, as necessary
  • Report on results internally and externally to clients
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Account Strategy, Head of Agency Operations, and our clients
  • Understand search engine marketing and optimization best practices and provide insight through client deliverables
  • Reliable management and reporting of monthly assigned work
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage PPC campaigns
  •  Strong client-facing communication skills (via phone, email, and in-person)
  • The ability to create clear reports with compelling ROI narrative
  • Strong interdepartmental and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work at a computer during standard working hours
  • Meet scheduled and proposed deadlines
  • The drive to consistently improve upon current ROI

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • 2+ years of experience either with freelancing while working with multiple clients or experience working in a marketing agency
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio (Minimum of 1 year experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage PPC campaigns
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Create well articulated reports showing ROI and showcasing the narrative of what our efforts are doing for the client
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Meet deadlines and communicate roadblocks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new software and changes in the paid search landscape quickly, also this person should be comfortable researching industry trends
